Seating Chart Maker for Weddings and Events
Paste your guest list, keep couples and families together, keep apart the people who should not share a table, and let the tool seat everyone. Then drag guests between tables and print the floor plan, an alphabetical "find your table" list and table number cards.

Someone shared this result with you. It was made with Seating Chart Maker, free on VISU, no sign-up.
Everything is made in this browser. Guest names are not sent to VISU or saved here: download the CSV to keep your plan.
One line per guest or per group that sits together: "Ana & Bruno" is a couple, "Ana Lima + 2" is Ana and two guests of hers. A column pasted from a spreadsheet works too. Up to 400 guests.
One pair per line, with the names as they are on the list. Auto-assign puts them at different tables.
Seating
Drag a guest to another table. Without dragging: tap a guest (or press Enter on it), then "Seat here" on a table. Couples and groups move together. Auto-assign starts over from the list.
Not seated yet
Paste your guest list to start, or fill with an example.

The CSV is your save: import it here later to pick up the plan where you left it, or open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
In the print window choose scale 100% (not "fit to page") and margins "none", so every size comes out exact.
How to plan the seating
- Start with the groups that must sit together (couples, families with children, plus ones), then fill the tables around them.
- Ask your venue how many chairs fit at each table before you set the seats: it depends on the tables they have.
- Seat guests who know each other together, and use keep-apart for the pairs you already know about.
- Print the find-your-table list for the entrance and put a card on every table, so guests find their place without asking.
More for the day
A QR code for the date
The event QR tool makes a code that adds the date, time and place to each guest's calendar: good on the invitation or the welcome sign.
Make an event QR codeA welcome sign QR you can change later
A printed code cannot be edited. A dynamic VISU QR points to a short VISU link and you choose where it goes: the event page before the day, the photo album after it. VISU shows how many times it was scanned.

Questions
How do I make a wedding seating chart?
Paste your guest list, set the tables and press Auto-assign seats. Couples and families stay together, the pairs you list under Keep apart go to different tables, and you fix the rest by dragging. Then print the floor plan, the list for the entrance and a card for each table.
How many guests can sit at each table?
It depends on the size of the tables and chairs your venue has, so ask them. Set the number of seats here (2 to 30, up to 60 tables), and give a different number to one table by writing it in brackets after its name, as in "Head table (12)".
How do I keep a couple or a family together?
Write them on one line: "Ana & Bruno" is a couple, "Ana Lima + 2" is Ana with two guests, and a spreadsheet with a Party column groups the rows that share it. A group always moves as one, by auto-assign or when you drag it.
How do I keep two guests apart?
Write one pair per line under Keep apart, such as "Daniel Perry / Samuel Rivera". Auto-assign puts them at different tables when the tables allow it and says so when they do not. If you move one of them next to the other, a warning shows the clash.
What can I print?
Three things: the floor plan with every table and its guests, an alphabetical "find your table" list for the entrance, and table cards with the number or name big, 4 or 8 per sheet with cut marks. Each one prints on A4 or Letter or downloads as a 300 DPI PNG. "Made with VISU" can be unticked for free.
How do I save my seating plan?
Download the CSV: it has every guest with their group and table. Nothing is stored on this site, so import that file here later to carry on, or open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
