Your invitation

Size

Type the event name and the date to download the invitation.

The place or the time might change?

Put a dynamic VISU QR on the invitation. It points to a short visu.to link: if the venue moves, you change where the code goes and the image your guests already have keeps working. VISU shows how many times it was scanned.

Keep the details on a page you can edit

An invitation image is fixed once it is sent. Put the address, the schedule and the gift list on a VISU Link page, at a short visu.to address, and point the QR code at it. When something changes you edit the page, not the image.

How to use it

  1. Pick the kind of event. The top line, the theme and the colour start with a suggestion you can change.
  2. Type the event name, the date and the times, the place and its address. Add the hosts and a dress code if you want.
  3. For replies, type the WhatsApp number that takes them. Guests get a link that opens a chat with a ready message.
  4. Choose what the QR code on the image opens: the map, the RSVP chat or a link of yours.
  5. Download the image in 4:5 and in 9:16, the .ics file, and copy the text with the links to send along.

Examples

  • A birthday sent to a group chat

Fresh theme, "Lia turns 30", Saturday at 7 PM, the rooftop address and a QR code to the map. The 4:5 image goes in the group, the 9:16 one in the stories, and the copied text carries the RSVP link.

  • A wedding save the date

Classic theme with the couple as the event name, the date, the city and no times yet. The .ics file blocks the whole day in the guests' calendars.

  • A company event

Modern theme in the brand colour, start and end times, the venue and a QR code that opens a VISU Link page with the agenda. The "made on" line is switched off.

Questions

What do I get from this tool?

One invitation in two sizes (1080 x 1350 for the feed and for chats, 1080 x 1920 for stories), a calendar file (.ics), links that add the event to Google Calendar, Outlook.com and Yahoo Calendar, a WhatsApp link for replies and the invitation as plain text.

How do guests confirm?

They tap the RSVP link or scan the code, and WhatsApp opens a chat with you with a message already written. You keep the list yourself: this tool does not collect or count replies.

What is the .ics file for?

It is the standard calendar file. Send it with the invitation and guests add the event to Apple Calendar, Outlook or any other calendar in one tap, with the date, the time and the address in place.

Which time zone does the calendar entry use?

None. The event is saved with the clock time you typed, so it shows 7 PM on every guest's phone, wherever they are. That is the right behaviour for an event that happens in one place.

Can I change the invitation after I send it?

An image cannot be edited once it is in someone's chat: you would send a new one. If details may change, point the QR code at a page you can edit, such as a VISU Link page, or use a dynamic VISU QR and change its destination.

How big should the QR code be?

On the image it is sized to scan from another screen or from a print of about postcard size. If you print the invitation smaller, test it with two phones first, or leave the code out and send the links in the message.

Is anything I type stored?

No. The image, the calendar file and the links are built in your browser. The event, the address and the phone number are not uploaded, not saved and not written into the page address.
