Style
Your event stays in this browser. The code is made on this page, and nothing you type is sent to VISU or stored.
Your event QR code
Add a name, a start date and a start time to see your QR code.
A calendar QR code is static: the date, time and place are written into it. If anything changes, make and print a new code.
If your event has a page, print a dynamic VISU QR for it. It points to a short visu.to link that opens your event page, so guests always see the current date and place, and you can point the same printed code at another page later. VISU shows how many times it was scanned.

Calendar QR code or an event page?
Calendar QR code (this page)
Free, no accountAdds the event to the phone's calendar in one scan, even without internet. Best when the date, time and place are final. To change anything, you print a new code.
VISU Link
One page with your links, offers and contact, at a short visu.to address. Put your ticket or sign-up link there and change it any time, so a printed code that points to it never goes out of date.

How to use it
- Type the event name, then pick the start date and time. Tick "All-day event" for a date without a time.
- Add the end, or leave it empty: one hour for timed events, one day for all-day events.
- Check the time zone. It should be the one where the event happens.
- Add the place and, if you like, a link and a short description.
- Scan the preview with your own phone and check the date and time before you print.
- Download PNG for print and social posts, SVG for designers, or .ics to attach to emails.
Examples
Flyers and posters
A code next to the date, so people save the event before they walk away.
Invitations and save the dates
A code on a wedding or birthday invitation that puts the day in every guest's calendar.
Tickets and confirmations
A code on the ticket or in the confirmation email, so nobody has to type the time and the address.
Classes, meetings and appointments
A code on the board or on the appointment card for the next class, meeting or visit.
Questions
What is an event QR code?
It is a QR code that holds a calendar event in the iCalendar format: name, start, end, place and notes. When someone scans it, the phone offers to add the event to the calendar, with every detail already filled in.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Many recent phones read calendar QR codes with the camera and offer to add the event. Support varies by phone and camera app, and some only show the text. Test with an iPhone and an Android before printing, and keep a QR reader app as a fallback.
Is this the same as a QR code ticket?
No. A ticket QR code carries a unique code that the organizer checks at the door. This one only saves the date: every guest scans the same code and gets the same calendar entry. They work well together: the ticket gets people in, the calendar code helps them remember to come.
Which time zone should I choose?
The one where the event happens. The code stores the exact moment, so a guest in another time zone sees the time converted for them. Choose "No time zone" only when the event should show the same clock time everywhere.
Can I change the date after printing?
No. A calendar QR code is static: the details are written into it, and phones that already saved the event are not updated. If the date may move, print a dynamic VISU QR that opens your event page and keep the page up to date.
How much can I write in the description?
Up to 500 characters, but every character makes the code denser and harder to scan from far away. For posters and flyers keep to the name, date and place, and check the print size with the QR Code Size Calculator.
Are my event details stored anywhere?
No. The code, the PNG, the SVG and the .ics file are made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to VISU or saved. Only if you choose the dynamic QR does your event link go to VISU, and nothing else.
