Mahjong Solitaire: match the free tiles

puzzle Clear the stacked board by removing matching pairs of free tiles. Every deal can be cleared, tiles are large enough for a phone, and quick matches build combo points. Free, no download, no sign-up.

How to play

  1. Pick a level: Easy (56 tiles), Medium (86) or Hard (158).
  2. A tile is free when nothing is on top of it and its left or right side is open. Blocked tiles look darker.
  3. Tap a free tile, then an identical free tile to remove the pair. Match fast for combo points.
  4. Stuck? Use Hint, Undo or Shuffle. Clear every tile to win.

Questions

Which tiles can I pick?

Only free tiles: no tile on top and at least one open side, left or right. Blocked tiles are shown darker.

Can every board be cleared?

Yes. Each deal is built backwards from a solved board, so there is always a way. If your choices lead to a dead end, use Undo or Shuffle.

How is the score counted?

10 points per pair, extra combo points for quick matches and a time bonus at the end. Hints and shuffles cost a few points.
