Random Team Generator

Paste the list of players straight from the group chat and draw the teams. Balance them by skill, draw the goalkeepers first, keep some people together or apart, and post the result with the seed so nobody asks for a re-roll.

One player per line. Paste the WhatsApp list as it is: numbers, emojis and the title are cleaned up. Mark a goalkeeper with (G) or 🧤.

Split by

Balance by skill (optional)

Give each player a level from 1 to 5 and the teams come out with the same total. Players without a level count as 3. The levels stay on this device: they are not in the text, the image or the link.

    Keep together or apart (optional)

One pair per line, with the names as they are on the list. Brothers who come in one car go together; the two best players go apart.

The list stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or saved.

    Result

Paste the list and press "Draw teams".

Teams sorted. What about the goal of the night?

VISU Replay puts cameras on the court: the match is recorded on its own and the players get short clips of their plays in the VISU app, ready to send to the group. If your court does not have it yet, send the Replay page to the owner.

    How to use it

    1. Copy the list from the group chat and paste it in the box. Numbers, emojis and the title line are cleaned up.
    2. Choose the number of teams, or how many play per team (whoever is left over goes to the bench).
    3. Optional: mark the goalkeepers, give levels from 1 to 5 for balanced teams, and list who must play together or apart.
    4. Press "Draw teams". Copy the text for WhatsApp, download the image or send the link, always with the seed and the time.

    Examples

    • Five-a-side with two goalkeepers

Paste 12 names, mark the two goalkeepers with (G), choose 2 teams: each side gets one goalkeeper and five outfield players.

    • Three teams, winner stays on

Paste 17 names and choose 5 per team: three full teams and two players on the bench for the first game.

    • Balanced padel or beach tennis pairs

Give every player a level, choose 2 per team, and the pairs come out with similar totals instead of the two best together.

    Questions

    Is the draw really random?

Yes. Each draw starts from a seed made by your browser's cryptographic generator, and the seed decides the whole shuffle. The seed and the time are shown with the result, so a quiet second attempt would show a different seed.

How does the skill balance work?

You rate each player from 1 to 5. The strongest are placed first, each one on the team with the lowest total, and then players are swapped while that narrows the gap. Players you did not rate count as 3.

Can anyone see the levels I gave?

No. The levels stay in your browser. The text, the image and the link only carry the names and the teams.

    How are goalkeepers handled?

With "draw the goalkeepers first" on, each team gets one goalkeeper before anyone else is placed. A spare goalkeeper plays outfield; if there are fewer goalkeepers than teams, the result says which team has none.

What if a rule cannot be met?

The tool tells you. Three people who must all be apart do not fit in two teams, for example: you get the teams and a note with the pair it could not split.

    What does the link contain?

The names you typed and the teams that were drawn, written into the link itself (the part after #), plus the seed and the time. It is not stored on a server. Anyone with the link can read those names, so share it only with the group.
