Pix QR Code Generator

Pix is Brazil's instant payment system, run by Banco Central do Brasil. Type a Pix key, the receiver name and the city: this page writes the code in the official format, shows the copy-and-paste string and draws a counter sign at exact print size. The key never leaves your browser.

The sign

The sign prints in Portuguese, because customers in Brazil read it. Every text can be edited.

Key printed on the sign

This only changes the text on the sign. The code always carries the whole key, and anyone can read it with a QR reader.

Everything is made in this browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to VISU.

Preview

Fill in the key, the name and the city to see the code and the sign.

In the print window choose scale 100% (not "fit to page") and margins "none", so every size comes out exact.

Before you print

  1. Scan the code on this screen with your own bank app.
  2. Confirm that the app shows your name and your bank. That name comes from the bank's records, not from this page.
  3. Send yourself a small amount from another account and see it arrive.
  4. After printing, scan the paper once more. Then check the sign from time to time: nobody should have stuck another code over it.

VISU is not a bank or a payment institution. This page only writes the code: no money passes through VISU and your key is not sent or stored anywhere.

A static code, and what that means

The code holds your key in plain text and nothing else is checked when it is made: a wrong key makes a code that pays someone else. That is why the test with your own bank app comes before the printer. The money goes to the account where the key is registered on the day of each payment.

The swapped code scam

A known scam in Brazil is a sticker with another Pix code placed over the shop's sign. Keep the sign where staff can see it, behind the counter glass or in an acrylic holder, and ask customers to read the receiver name on their screen before confirming. The line printed on the sign says exactly that.

Pague com Pix + Avalie no Google

The customer already has the phone in hand to pay. A second, smaller code on the same sign can open your Google review link or your business page. VISU Local gives your business a free page in a local directory and a Google review QR code; with a dynamic VISU QR you can change where that second code goes later, without reprinting, and see how many times it was scanned.

Only the second code can be dynamic. The Pix code is always a direct code from your key: never put a payment code behind a redirect link.

Specification

The code follows these two documents from Banco Central do Brasil, read on October 11, 2026. The examples published in them are part of this tool's tests.

How to use it

  1. Pick the key type and type the Pix key, the receiver name and the city. A random key is the best choice for something printed.
  2. Leave the amount empty for a counter sign, or fill it in when every payment has the same price.
  3. Copy the Pix string or download the QR code. Scan it with your own bank app and confirm that your name shows up.
  4. Choose the sign size, how the key appears and, if you want, a second code for reviews.
  5. Print at 100% scale with no margins, cut on the marks and scan the printed sign once more before it goes on the counter.

Examples

  • Guesthouse in Brazil

A 10 x 15 cm sign at the front desk with a random key, no fixed amount, and a second code that opens the Google review link.

  • Market stall

An A6 sign taped to the scale with the stall name in large letters, so the customer can compare it with the name in the bank app.

  • Fixed price

A code with R$ 25,00 written in it for a class or an entrance fee: the customer scans and only confirms.

Questions

What is Pix, and can I use it outside Brazil?

Pix is the instant payment system created and run by Banco Central do Brasil. To receive with it you need a Pix key registered at a bank or payment institution that takes part in Pix in Brazil. This page does not create a key and does not make Pix work in another country: it writes the code for a key you already have.

Is this an official Banco Central tool?

No. VISU is not a bank, not a payment institution and has no link to Banco Central do Brasil. The code is written following the public specification of the BR Code and of Pix, which is linked on this page with the date it was read.

Does the money or my key pass through VISU?

No. The code is built in your browser from what you type. Nothing is sent to VISU, nothing is stored and the key is not put in the page address. The payment goes from the customer's bank straight to yours.

Why does the bank app show a different name from the one I typed?

Because the payer's app looks the key up and shows the name registered with it at the bank. The name written in the code is required by the format but is not what the customer sees. That is good news: the name on the screen is the real account holder.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic Pix code?

A static code, like this one, is just your key with an optional amount. It can be scanned by many customers. A dynamic Pix code is created by your bank for one charge, with its own expiry and payer data, and needs your bank's system. This tool only makes static codes.

Which key should I put on a printed sign?

A random key. The code carries the key in plain text, so anyone who scans it with a QR reader can read a CPF or a phone number, even when the sign shows it partly hidden. A random key shows nothing about you and you can delete it and make another in your bank app.

How do I protect the sign against a swapped code?

Keep it in sight of the staff and out of reach of the public side when you can. Look at it at the start of the day. And tell customers to read the receiver name before confirming: a swapped code shows someone else's name.

Can I use the same code on more than one sign?

Yes. A static code does not change and can be printed as many times as you like. To know where each payment came from, make one code per spot with a different identifier.
