QR Code Sign Maker
Paste a link, write a headline and print a sign that is ready for the table, the counter or the door. Sizes are exact in millimetres, so the code prints as big as the preview says.
- Free
- No sign-up
- Runs in your browser
Two faces, a base and a glue tab. Two tents per sheet: cut down the middle, fold on the dotted lines.
Everything is made in this browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to VISU.
Preview
Paste the link to see your sign.
In the print window choose scale 100% (not "fit to page") and margins "none", so every size comes out exact.
This link is long, so the code is dense and has to be scanned from closer. A dynamic VISU QR uses a short link: the same sign scans from farther.
Print once, change the destination later
A printed code cannot be edited. With a dynamic VISU QR, the code on your sign points to a short VISU link, and you choose where that link goes: today the menu, next month the new menu. VISU also shows how many times the code was scanned.
- Create the dynamic QR on VISU. The link you pasted goes along.
- Copy the short link VISU gives you (visu.to/q/...) and paste it here instead.
- Print the sign once. Change the destination on VISU whenever you need.
Paste the link above first, then create its dynamic QR.
How to use it
- Paste the link the code should open and pick a ready text, or write your own headline.
- Choose the format: table tent, counter sign, sticker sheet or poster. Add your logo and colour.
- Check the line under the preview: it says how wide the code prints and from how far it scans.
- Print at 100% scale with no margins, or download the PNG at 300 DPI for a print shop.
- Cut on the marks, fold the tent on the dotted lines, and scan the printed code with two phones before you put it out.
Examples
Restaurant table
A table tent with "Scan for our menu" on both faces, so it reads from either side of the table.
Salon counter
An A6 sign by the register with the booking link, printed four to a sheet for every station.
Shop packaging
A sheet of 50 mm stickers with the Instagram link, one on every bag.
Clinic door
A poster with the appointment link, readable from the pavement.
Questions
How big should a QR code be on a sign?
A good rule is one tenth of the scanning distance: a code 3 cm wide scans from about 30 cm, a table tent with a 5 cm code from the other side of the table. Never print a code under 2 cm. The line under the preview does this maths for the format you picked.
Which paper should I use?
For a table tent or a counter sign, use card stock (around 180 to 250 g/m²) so it stands up; plain office paper folds over. For stickers, use full-sheet sticker paper. Matte paper is safer than glossy, because glare under a lamp can stop a camera from reading the code.
How do I print it at the exact size?
In the print window, set the scale to 100% (not "fit to page") and the margins to "none". Pick A4 or Letter here to match the paper in your printer. The sign keeps its content away from the edge that home printers leave blank.
How do I fold the table tent?
Cut the sheet down the middle, fold each strip on the three dotted lines, and glue or tape the small tab behind the back face. The two faces lean on each other and the base keeps the tent open.
Can I change the link after printing?
Not with a normal code: the link is written into it. If the sign carries a dynamic VISU QR instead, you change the destination on VISU and the printed sign keeps working. VISU also counts the scans.
Do the stickers match pre-cut label sheets?
No. The sheet is made for full-sheet sticker paper: print, then cut along the marks with scissors or a guillotine. Pre-cut label sheets have their own spacing, which varies by brand.
Is my link or logo uploaded anywhere?
No. The sign is drawn in your browser. The link, the texts and the logo never leave this page.
Can I send the file to a print shop?
Yes. The PNG is 300 DPI and carries its physical size, so it opens at the right dimensions. For large runs, ask the shop which paper weight and finish they recommend.
