Cameras on the court, clips for the players: See VISU Replay
The best point of the night, on video
VISU Replay puts cameras on the court, and the players get the clips of their game to share. Show it to the club where your group plays.
See VISU ReplayHow to use it
- Type or paste the players, one per line. From 4 players up any number works: with 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 or 11 the extra players have a bye and the byes rotate.
- Set how many courts you have and how many rounds you want. The form tells you how many players sit out per round and when the byes even out.
- Press "Create schedule". Print it, or copy it as text for the group. Each round lists the court, the two teams and who has a bye.
- Type the scores as the games finish to get a ranking by wins and point difference, and share the schedule link so everyone sees the same sheet.
Examples
8 players on 2 courts
Seven rounds make the full rotation: each player partners with each of the other seven exactly once and plays against each of them exactly twice.
10 players, 2 courts
Two players have a bye each round. After 5 rounds everyone has sat out once and played 4 games.
Open play with 16 players and 4 courts
Run 7 rounds and nobody gets the same partner twice. The full rotation is 15 rounds if the group wants to keep going.
One court, 5 players
One player waits each game. Five rounds give everyone one bye and every possible partner once.
Questions
How does a pickleball round robin with rotating partners work?
Everybody signs up alone. Each round the schedule puts four players on each court as two teams, and the partners change from round to round. Each player collects their own wins and points, so there is an individual ranking at the end.
How are byes handled when the number of players is not a multiple of 4?
Each court takes four players and the others sit out that round. The scheduler always rests the players who have rested the least, so nobody gets a second bye before everyone has had one, and the form shows after how many rounds the byes are equal.
How should we score the games?
The tool starts with one game to 11, win by 2, per round. Pick 15 or 21 for longer games. A score that is not a finished game, for example 11 to 10, is highlighted but still counts, because timed rounds sometimes stop early.
How is the ranking calculated?
By games won, then by point difference (points scored minus points conceded), then by points scored. Players with exactly the same numbers share the position.
Can I print the schedule?
Yes. "Print schedule" opens a clean sheet with the player list, every round, the courts and a box for each score, and nothing else from the page. Scores already typed are printed too.
How many rounds should we play?
With 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24 players and one court for every four, the full rotation is one round fewer than the number of players. For a shorter session play fewer rounds: with those sizes nobody repeats a partner.
What does the schedule link contain?
The names, the settings, the draw code and the scores, in the part of the address after the # sign, which browsers do not send to the server when they load a page. Anyone who receives the link can read them, so send it only to the group.
