How to use it

  1. Choose tickets with a stub, or a numbers board for buyers to write their names on.
  2. Type the raffle name, up to three prizes, the draw date, the price and who organizes it.
  3. Set the first and the last number (up to 1,000 per batch) and keep the zeros in front if you like 001 style numbers.
  4. Pick a size, a design and a colour. Add a link if you want a QR code on every ticket.
  5. Click "Print or save as PDF", keep the scale at 100% and cut along the guides. The stub stays with you, the ticket goes with the buyer.

Questions

Do I need a license to run a raffle?

Often, yes. In many states and countries raffles are treated as a form of lottery or gaming: some need a license or permit, some are only allowed for registered nonprofits, and the rules on prizes and sales vary. Check with your state or local authority before you sell tickets. This tool only prints the tickets.

How do I number raffle tickets?

Type the first and the last number. Every ticket and its stub get the same number, from 1 up to 1,000 per batch. Keep "Zeros in front" on to print 001, 002 and so on, which keeps the numbers the same width and easy to read out.

How many tickets fit on a page?

It depends on the size: Standard fits five (Letter) or six (A4) per sheet, Compact twelve or fourteen, Large four. The preview shows the sheet exactly as it prints, with cut guides, and the facts under it say how many sheets you need.

What is a numbers board?

A single sheet with all the numbers in a grid and a line next to each one. Instead of tickets, each buyer writes a name next to the number they choose. A board of 100 numbers fits one page.

How do I pick the winner?

Draw a number from the same range in front of everyone, for example with the free number draw tool on a phone or projector, then check the stub or the board for that number.

Is anything I type saved or sent?

No. The tickets are drawn in your browser and nothing you type is sent to VISU or stored. Print them or save the PDF before you close the page.
