Yes or No Wheel

Type the question, spin the wheel and let it decide. Add a maybe slice, ask for the best of 3 when one spin feels too quick, and look back at every answer of the session with its tally.

Deciding between names, not yes or no?

    How to use it

    1. Type your question, or just think of it.
    2. Choose yes or no, or add maybe as a third answer.
    3. Pick 1 spin, best of 3 or best of 5, then spin. The answer is drawn from the seed first and the wheel stops on it.
    4. Ask the next question. The history keeps every answer with its tally; copy it, download the image or send the link.

    Examples

    • A quick decision

Pizza or cook, gym or rest: type it, spin once and stick to the answer.

    • Best of 3 to settle an argument

Two friends disagree: switch to best of 3 so one lucky spin does not decide, and show the seed if someone doubts it.

    • Party game

Ask the group one question each round with maybe on, and read the tally at the end: how many yes, no and maybe the night gave.

    Questions

Is the yes or no wheel really random?

Yes. The session starts from a seed made by your browser's cryptographic generator, and every spin is drawn from it before the wheel moves: yes and no have the same chance, and maybe too when it is on. The seed is shown, so the same seed always gives the same answers in the same order.

What does best of 3 do?

It spins the wheel three times for one question and the answer that comes out most wins. With maybe on, three different answers are a tie and the page asks you to spin again.

    Is the history saved?

Only while the page is open. Nothing is stored in the browser or on a server. To keep it, copy the history, download the image or copy the link.

    What does the link contain?

The answers mode, best of, the seed, the number of spins and the last question, written in the link itself (after the #). It does not carry the other questions you typed.

Should I trust the wheel for a serious decision?

It is a coin with a nicer face: good for breaking a tie or a game among friends. For health, money or legal matters, ask someone who knows the subject.

What about a wheel with names?

Use the name wheel: paste a list, spin for a winner and remove it before the next spin. It also has a quick yes or no preset.
