Questions
How do I make a name tracing worksheet?
Type the name in the box, pick the size, and the page appears in the preview. Print it at 100% or download the PDF. For a class, paste one name per line and each child gets a page.
What do the arrows on the first copy mean?
The first copy of the name is drawn as an outline with a dot where each stroke starts and small arrows that show the direction. Children follow it once, then trace the dotted copies, then try the empty row. You can turn the arrows off.
Which handwriting style are the letters?
The letters come from Edu AU VIC WA NT, a free school handwriting font from Australia: a print style with a slight slope and simple exit strokes. Some letters may look a little different from the model your school uses, so check one page with the teacher if that matters.
Do names with accents work?
Yes. Letters such as á, ã, é, ç, ñ and ü are drawn with the accent in dots, matching the rest of the name. Hyphens and apostrophes work too. Characters without a tracing letter, such as emoji or other alphabets, are listed above the buttons and left out.
What size should I choose?
Large letters (24 mm, about 0.9 in for capitals) suit children who are starting. Medium and small fit more copies per row once the letters get steadier. A long name is made smaller automatically so it fits the row.
Is my child's name sent anywhere?
No. The worksheet is drawn in your browser. The names you type are not sent to VISU or stored, and closing the page clears them.
