Questions
Is it safe to scan QR codes online?
This scanner decodes the image inside your browser and does not upload it. Links are never opened automatically: you see the domain and warnings first, then decide.
Why can my phone not read a QR code on its own screen?
The camera can only see what is in front of it. Take a screenshot instead and open this page on the same phone to read the image.
Which QR codes does it read?
Any standard QR code: links, text, Wi-Fi, contact cards (vCard and MeCard), email, phone, SMS, locations and calendar events.
What if no code is found?
Crop the image around the code, make sure the whole square and its white border are visible, and avoid blur and strong reflections.
