How to Use This Quiz
Three formats that work. Party mode: one reader, teams shout answers, one point each, sections 1 and 9 first so nobody checks out early. Quiz night: pick 5 questions per section, answers written on paper, the tiebreaker section decides ties. Family mode: start with the kids section, then alternate one easy and one medium question per round so every generation scores. Questions are numbered 1 to 80; the answer follows each question, so the reader should keep the screen to themselves.

FAQ
How many music trivia questions are in this list?
Eighty, numbered straight through and grouped into eight themed sections, from easy pop icons and a kids section to a sourced records-and-numbers block, with eight flagged as tiebreakers.
Are the answers verified?
Every date, award and record claim was checked against a primary source: the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's inductee pages, Guinness World Records entries read in full, the RIAA and the Recording Academy. Questions about band names and instruments rest on common knowledge that needs no citation.
What is a good format for a music quiz night?
Five questions per themed section, written answers, one point each, and the tiebreaker section held in reserve. Starting with the easy pop section keeps casual players in the game; ending on the records section rewards the real heads.
Why are there no "finish the lyric" questions?
Song lyrics are protected compositions, so reproducing a line, even one, is off the table. Titles, artists, dates and verified facts carry the quiz instead, and honestly make for fairer questions.
