Ad Revenue Calculator
Estimate what a website or blog earns from display ads. Type your monthly pageviews and the page RPM from your own reports, as a low and a high value, and get a range per day, month and year. No RPM yet? Work it out from your CPM, the ads on each page and your fill rate. The result comes from your numbers, not from a fixed rate per visit.

Breakdown
An estimate from the numbers you typed, not a payment forecast. What you are paid depends on your real traffic and rates, and your ad network has the final figure.
How this estimate works
The formula
Estimated revenue = monthly pageviews ÷ 1,000 × page RPM. With a low and a high RPM the same formula runs twice and gives a range. A year counts as 12 months and a day as one 365th of a year, so the daily, monthly and yearly figures always agree.
Page RPM comes from your reports
Google AdSense Help defines RPM as your estimated earnings divided by the number of page views, multiplied by 1,000, and adds that RPM does not represent how much you have actually earned. Its own example: an estimated $0.15 from 25 page views is a page RPM of $6.00. This page has no default RPM. Use the one in your reports.
From CPM to page RPM
CPM is the cost per 1,000 ad impressions. A page usually loads more than one ad, so page RPM = ad impressions per pageview × CPM × fill rate. AdSense counts an impression for each ad request where at least one ad has begun to download.
Fill rate
Not every ad request comes back with an ad. The fill rate is the share that does. If you leave the field empty, the calculator counts every request as filled, says so in the breakdown, and the estimate is the upper end for that CPM.
The network share is already inside
AdSense states that for AdSense for Content publishers receive 80% of the revenue after the advertiser platform takes its fee, which comes to about 68% when advertisers buy through Google Ads. The earnings and RPM in your reports are already your part, so the calculator applies no share. In CPM mode, type the CPM you are actually paid.
What the estimate cannot know
Traffic changes with the season, and AdSense notes that impression counts can fluctuate because of invalid traffic. The estimate multiplies the numbers you typed. This page is independent and is not affiliated with Google.

Create your VISU Link See VISU Link →How to use it
- Open your analytics and note your pageviews for a typical month.
- Open the reports of your ad network and note your page RPM. For a range, use a lower and a higher RPM your site has had.
- Type the pageviews and the RPM. If you only know your CPM, switch modes and add the ads per page and your fill rate.
- Read the estimate per day, month and year. Then download the card or copy the result.
Examples
Monthly pageviews and an RPM range
Arithmetic only, with a made-up RPM: 120,000 pageviews a month at a page RPM between $4.00 and $9.00 is 120,000 ÷ 1,000 × 4 = $480 to $1,080 a month, about $15.78 to $35.51 a day and $5,760 to $12,960 a year.
From CPM, ads per page and fill rate
Made-up numbers again: 3 ad impressions per pageview at a CPM of $1.50 and a fill rate of 90% is a page RPM of 3 × 1.50 × 90% = $4.05. On 80,000 pageviews a month that is $324.
Working out your own page RPM
The example in AdSense Help: an estimated $0.15 from 25 page views is 0.15 ÷ 25 × 1,000 = a page RPM of $6.00. Do the same with your earnings and pageviews for a month.

Questions
How much does a website earn per 1,000 pageviews?
There is no fixed amount. What you earn per 1,000 pageviews is your page RPM, and it depends on what advertisers bid for your audience, how many ads each page shows and how many requests get filled. The honest number is the one in your own reports.
What is page RPM?
RPM is revenue per 1,000 impressions. For pages, Google AdSense Help gives the formula as estimated earnings divided by the number of page views, multiplied by 1,000. It is a rate for comparing, not a statement of what you were paid.
What is the difference between RPM and CPM?
CPM is the cost of 1,000 ad impressions. Page RPM is what 1,000 pageviews earn you. One pageview can carry several ad impressions and some requests go unfilled, so the two numbers are different. This page converts one into the other when you type the ads per page and the fill rate.
What is fill rate?
It is the share of ad requests that come back with an ad. A page that asks for three ads and gets two filled earns for two. If you do not know yours, leave the field empty and read the result as the upper end.
Does the calculator take off the share of the ad network?
No, because your reports already did. AdSense states that publishers of content ads receive 80% of the revenue after the advertiser platform takes its fee. The earnings and RPM you see are your part, and applying a share again would count it twice.
Does it work for ad networks other than AdSense?
Yes. The formula only needs your pageviews and your own RPM or CPM, whichever network reports them. The definitions quoted here come from Google AdSense Help because it publishes them. VISU is not affiliated with Google.
Why is my real payment different from the estimate?
Because the calculator only multiplies your numbers. Traffic moves from month to month, advertisers pay different amounts for different ads, and AdSense notes that impression counts can fluctuate because of invalid traffic. Your ad network has the final figure.
Does this calculator send my numbers anywhere?
No. The maths runs in your browser. The pageviews, the rates and the site name you type are not uploaded, are not added to the page address and are not saved.
