Candle Dungeon: a roguelike dungeon crawler

arcade Choose one of three heroes and battle room by room through a five-floor dungeon, picking your own route between fights, shops and altars. Each run builds a different set of blessings and relics, and even a lost run brings back embers for permanent talents. Free, no download, no sign-up.

How to play

  1. Choose a hero: the Flame Warden shoots fire, the Rift Ranger fires piercing arrows and the Ember Blade slashes up close.
  2. Move with the arrow pad (or WASD and arrow keys) and hold the attack button or the arena to fight.
  3. Use Dash to dodge and Skill for your class power once it is ready.
  4. After each room pick the next door: regular fights, elite rooms with relics, altars that heal or shops that sell blessings.
  5. Room five of every floor is a guardian. Beat all five floors to win, and spend embers on talents between runs.

Is it free?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no download and no account.

What happens when I lose?

The run ends, but you keep the embers you collected. Spend them on permanent talents like max HP or attack before the next run.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Talents, embers and your current run stay on this device and browser.
